Relax and stretch your legs at Grace Street Park. This charming park offers a perfect break with green spaces, walking paths, and a peaceful environment—ideal for recharging between activities. In 2011, the Greater Greenwood Parks and Trails Foundation entered into a lease with the City of Greenwood for all 53 +/- acres at the corner of Grace Street and the 72 ByPass NW. GGPTF envisions a park for “urban outdoor enjoyment of the public at large.”In 2011, the Greater Greenwood Parks and Trails Foundation entered into a lease with the City of Greenwood for all 53 +/- acres at the corner of Grace Street and the 72 ByPass NW. Greenwood’s newest park is designed for the people of Greenwood and visitors from everywhere, the park is unique in its history, diversity of landscape and variety of activities offered. The centerpiece is a large pond. The Greenwood Realtors Association Walking Trail follows the water’s edge. For exercisers three laps make a mile. Less active visitors can enjoy the park benches and contemplate the large water plume generated by an aeration fountain. Several species of ducks and Canadian geese have taken up residence while a wild blue heron visits frequently.
